We’re sure be having a bit of Injustice these past few days, eh? Anyways, Brad already covered the story details of the latest update, which you can check out here. My job right now is to inform you about gameplay elements of the game.
First off, and this is something I find to be quite awesome, is that you will be able to select the type of control scheme to use. As of right now, you have the option to choose between the traditional Mortal Kombat control scheme (combos and special moves required “down-forward-punch” type inputs) or a Street Fighter-like style, using commands such as quarter circle and half circles + punch or kick. I believe that the fighting game community would greatly appreciate this options, as it would make Injustice a more accessible game to primarily Capcom-fighter dominated era.
Another great feature is an online training mode. Nowadays, it’s simply not enough to just have a training mode, especially due to the online component of fighting games becoming more prominent every year. An online training would allow players to familiarize to the networking of the game and learn how to adapt to things like lag spikes and input delays, which are common when playing online. Of course, this would also help you train with a human opponent rather than a dummy or an AI.
Injustice: Gods Among Us will be released on April 16, 2013 in North America for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Wii U
