Regardless of the fact that I missed a lot of the E3 live streams and what not, when I caught up with the archived videos on sites like GT and Youtube, I must say it was a rather dull start to this year’s “New Era of Games.” Microsoft was a bore, all the other conferences by straight up game companies were kinda “meh” and Sony was decent to say the least. Even though the presentations today felt like they were presented by obviously business people, what matters most to I believe that anyone who watches E3 are the games. And I think the line up so far was actually pretty good. Games like South Park: The Stick of Truth, The Last of Us and even the new Splinter Cell game seemed rather promising. I wished there was something funny like last year’s E3 with the Sims Online and the tag line “If you can’t find the perfect mate, then make him!” But sometimes you can’t have your cake and eat it too.
